It is bittersweet writing this blog post, since shortly after our session, the stunning Premonition crossed the rainbow bridge. It broke my heart to learn this news, especially since it was not at all expected at the time of our session and I know she was so loved and treasured by her family. But, it brings me comfort knowing that I was able to capture these precious memories and just how treasured they will be for many many years to come.
It was obvious that Dana adored her mare more than anything, a trusted friend, loyal companion, and above all else; heart horse. It’s just two simple words but to anyone who knows, that phrase means so much and it’s the only way to simply describe how much these incredible horses can mean to us. This session as a whole was a reminder that each and every session is so important, because one day, regardless of how many years down the road it may be, photographs will be all someone has left.
