Sarah is one of the most lovely, friendly, warm, helpful people I know. You meet her and immediately feel like a friend, and her love and care for her horses is obvious immediately. This was going to be my second session with Sarah, wanting to capture all of her lovely horses at her home. What she didn’t know was that her partner Warren had reached out to me, wanting to propose to Sarah and surprise her at the session. Obviously I was over the moon with this idea!
Our plan was that I would point to the woods behind their property, saying that I saw a moose. Sarah would turn to look, and this would be Warren’s cue for the big moment. While I don’t think I’m the best actor, everything went off without a hitch and Sarah was definitely surpsied! But their dog did not get the memo and picked that exact moment to pee. Obviously neither of them noticed in the heat of the moment but it sure made for a funny blooper shot (scroll to the bottom to see that).
We got a few more photos after the big moment, and I think both of their smiles says it all! It was such an honour and privilege to be part of such a special moment and to capture these memories that I know they will treasure for a lifetime.
