Mya & Vertigo | Tartan Farms Equestrian | Horse & Rider Portraits by Calgary Equestrian Photographer
Mya and Vertigo, affectionately known as Tiggy, win last years award for the windiest session - and the most unseasonably cold session (thanks to the brutal wind). It was min June, and sunny, but oh boy it did not feel like it! We were pummled by the wind the entire time and I found myself wishing Iโd brought a warmer jacked. Of course Mya was a trooper in her grad dress and two casual outfits!
The unexpected weather did allow us to get creative with our locations, and photograph a few show-stopping portraits in the beautiful barn aisle. Tartan Farms Equestrian is an incredibly beautiful facility and made for the most stunning backdrop for these graduation portraits.
Tiggy was a hilarious character for the entire session, wanting to eat anything and everything. Mya even said he had tried to eat her phone once! I lost count of how many times we had to wipe the green lipstick off this face, and how many times he made us laugh! These two were truly a pleasure to spend an evening with and so much fun!
And funnily enough, later that year, Myaโs sister, Minea, booked a portrait session with her mare and herโs was nearly as windy as Myaโs - unlucky for the Hill family! But more on that later - watch for Mineaโs session on the blog!
