Calgary Equestrian Maternity Portraits | Shelby, Jon & 4-legged family
Shelby is one of the kindest and welcoming people I have ever met and she quickly became a fast friend after being a repeat client many times over. So when she asked about having me photographer her maternity portraits with the horses, there was no way I could refuse - even if it was a little bit out of my wheel house. When I first met Shelby, she had moved to Alberta from out East. A few months later, I captured a Christmas Mini session with her and Jon, and it was obvious they had found something special in each other. Since then, they have built their lives together and now have welcomed their daughter together. Getting to capture these portraits for them as they awaited the next chapter of life - parenthood - was something truly special. There are some people who you just know will be incredible parents, because they are good people; kind, warm, hard working, and down to earth. Shelby and Jon are those people, and they make every single session together so much fun! I only hope I can continue to capture their beautiful family in the years to come.
