Canine Trio | Calgary | Fall Canine Portraits by Alberta Canine Photographer
This beautiful trio was captured on the most stunning fall day in 2024. Since then George (larger black dog) and Simon (senior, black and white) have both crossed the rainbow bridge and Macy (smaller black dog) lost one of her soulful eyes. It is always heartbreaking for me to hear this news, and to share it but it reminds me why what I do is so important.
We are all only on this floating rock for a fleeting moment and every day is a gift, our lives and health are never guaranteed and this is especially true for our pets who's lives are unfairly short. To freeze time and capture a moment may not seem that important but one day that photograph will become a memory, proof that it was real, a reminder of how beautiful they were. We don't realize how precious photographs are until the people or animals in them are no longer with us.
So don't wait, capture them today, because tomorrow is not guaranteed.
All we want is more time. As a photographer, I can't give you that, nobody really can, but what I can do is help to make your remaining time special and meaningful, while freezing in time those moments that you wish you could hold onto forever If you have had to make that difficult call to the vet, I implore you to make a second call to a photographer. I can promise you that I am prepared to clear my schedule to fit in the time to capture those last memories with your partner, best friend, and companion. The number one reason I do what I do is so that no pet owner ever has to say goodbye without having beautiful memories preserved forever, more than blurry cell-phone photos or silly selfies, but real art that captures the love you have shared and the story you have written together.
