Horse & Rider Session // Daila & Miss Filibuster

Daila and Fili have the kind of story that I think all horse girls dreamed about as little girls, Fili was Daila’s Christmas present last year. I’m not sure anyone will ever be able to top that gift! In Daila’s own words;

“walking into the barn Christmas morning and having her nicker at me, I knew she was my heart horse in that moment.”

That is a pretty magical moment and an incredible start to the partnership of girl and horse, though I’m sure that the moments to come will only be more magical for this pair! They have already made incredible leaps and bounds as a team and already become an impressive team in the show ring.

I was lucky enough today to spend another evening with Daila and Fili, capturing some Christmas memories instead, which I cannot wait to share with you all soon! They share a truly special bond and it was obvious even in the few short months since I saw them last that their connection had strengthened and their trust had deepened. I think it is the first year in any horse and rider partnership where the foundation is built and 90% of the trust is earned. The years to follow are spent learning, growing and achieving goals which will lead to memories. If the trust and connection between Daila and Fili is any indication, I see an incredibly bright future for this pair, filled with uncountable incredible memories!
