Horse & Rider Session // Audrey & Liam

This session came about relatively last minute, and was a final goodbye between Audrey and Liam. The big chestnut gelding was preparing to go onto his next chapter of life, with a new family. I’d met Audrey previously at a styled shoot that I hosted, and she is such a kind, generous person, who has an amazing eye for art and photography! I felt truly honoured that she chose me to capture her beautiful partnership with her big orange boy 🍊

What may have been intended to be a peaceful evening, a calm last goodbye, certainly did not turn out that way! Liam had other plans and we had quite a wild evening, filled with laughter, the occasional rear and more horse slobber on Audrey’s white dress than you can imagine! But I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, and I don’t think Audrey would have either. Liam was full of wild personality and if there was going to be any somber mood that evening, he certainly wasn’t had it, and so instead we laughed and spent the evening reminiscing about their time together. While he was always intended to be a sale horse, it certainly doesn’t make it any easier, especially when they leave a “giraffe sized hole in your heart”.

So here’s to the horses who turn your white dress green, who always leave you laughing and who make your heart just a little bit bigger, trying to fit themselves inside it!
And I couldn’t not include this amazing review Audrey left me, she is seriously the best and I can’t thank her enough!

“Do not book with anyone else; book with Annakah immediately. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. Not only is she an expert when it comes to getting the best out of you and your horse during your sessions, she's incredibly kind and professional.

Genuinely, don't use anyone else. Just book with Annakah now.” - Audrey

Would you ever wear white to a session with your horse or do you think that’s totally nuts? Let’s debate in the comments!

Did you fall in love with these images?

I promise you’ll love them even more if it’s you and your horse front and center! I want to make you the star and tell the story of your beautiful life.
