Amberlea Jump With Hope 2021

Looking back at all of these horse show memories is giving me serious nostalgia, even though it was only a few months ago! In the moment I am so focused on capturing the moments and then editing them right away after, but looking back on these images gives me so much more reflection on the stories that I was truly capturing. A lot of people look at horse show photography like just capturing a moment, but I think it is so much more, I truly have tried to make it into art and to capture a feeling, a story and all the magical memories. The moments are simply coincidental when all this is considered.

Getting to spend the day with the Gorseline crew was such a joy, these lovely ladies are all so cheerful, happy and just a pleasure to spend time with. I loved getting to capture Sonja’s moments in the hunter ring as well, since I usually don’t get to spend as much time in this ring. Each of their three horses had such unique and wonderful personalities, which I hope I managed to capture in all of their images. Anna and her sweet and soft-hearted Molly boasted a quiet confidence, while Alison and Athena were raring to go and walked into the ring as if they owned the place. Finally, Sonja and Asiah were cheerful and excited, with an upbeat attitude and confidence. It was a successful day all around and one that I was honored to be a part of.

If these images inspire you more than the typical show images and you will be attending Amberlea Harvest, be sure to check out my private client coverage and book a spot!
